Q: Does CounterAct electronic rust protection interfere with a vehicle's computers, radios, etc.?
A: CounterAct produces relatively low energy pulses of DC (Direct Current), and shares a common ground with the vehicle body. CounterAct systems have been tested under both U.S. and Australia/N.Z. EMC standards.
Q: Will CounterAct drain my battery?
A: CounterAct draws only a tiny amount of current less than an average digital clock. (under 50 milliamps).
Q: My car already has some rust - will CounterAct help?
A: CounterAct has been proven to slow the corrosion rate in painted automotive grade steel and can slow the spread of existing rust. Naturally, any existing vehicle body rust should be repaired at the earliest possible opportunity.
Q: Can I transfer my CounterAct system in the event that I purchase a new vehicle?
A: CounterAct is easily transferable to another vehicle. You may need to contact your CounterAct agent to arrange the transfer or to purchase replacement capacitive couplers.
Q: How long will CounterAct last?
A: Because CounterAct uses solid state technology with no moving parts and is epoxy encapsulated it's built tough and it's life is indefinite.
Q: Is there any danger from electrical shock?
A: The output of the CounterAct system is measured in microamperes and the electrostatic surface charge produced by CounterAct is less than the normal static charge, that can accumulate on your vehicle body during normal driving conditions.
